Blocked drains can be caused by a number of factors. Old earthenware pipes have rubber seals which over time perish and allow tree roots to enter. Ground movement over time can also cause breaks in pipes which then allow roots to penetrate and cause a blockage.

Most commonly, blocked drains are caused by objects which are not suitable for flushing entering the system. Flushable wipes, kids toys, straws…we even had a false eye once. We’ve literally “seen” it all!
